The Hennepin House Boat Duck Club, established in 1950, is located in the heart of the Illinois River Valley. The club house is in Hennepin which is located about 115 miles west of Chicago. Access to Hennepin is easy via I-180, an arterial highway off of I-80.
The club house overlooks the Illinois River. It sleeps 9 hunters comfortably. One not as comfortable as the others, though. The hunting grounds are a few miles south on the Illinois River. Access is via boats the club owns or leases, although, a member may use his own boat if they wish. We shoot 3 hunters per blind with a guide. The guide is not optional. Most guides have a dog but members or their guests are allowed to bring their dogs. Each member has a locker to store his gear in the mud room. The club house has a kitchen but the cooking is left to you or another member or guest. For some of the best pancakes on the planet, be sure to plan your hunt when Dom is there. There are several local establishments serving excellent spirits, as well as, several great eating establishments.
